The Exclusive Dealer of Vanguard Premium Replacement Windows in the Denver, CO Area

Newly installed windows inside a home

Vanguard Windows are for homeowners who want the highest performing, best looking, industry leading products with the most comprehensive warranty coverage at a phenomenal price (best value). These windows have it all: Strength. Longevity. Beauty. Operational Functionality. Detailed Craftsmanship. Energy Efficiency. Phenomenal Value (top-quality product at less than highest price).

And best of all, the quality is guaranteed for life.

That’s because everything is backed by the TotalCare Warranty. This comprehensive warranty package covers any material defects (including all vinyl frame components including welded corners and all hardware/mechanical components), seal failure of the Insulated Glass Unit (IGU) for any reason, and any accidental glass breakage or screen tears, for as long as you live in your home.

Plus, it is fully transferrable to the next homeowner (not prorated/limited like everyone else). Compare our warranty to the “Limited Lifetime” warranties offered by others. It’s not even close. Also compare Vanguard’s TRUE Double Lifetime Warranty to the “10-year” frame, hardware and moving parts warranties of many non-vinyl windows. Again, it’s not even close.

The peace of mind you get with these fully-backed replacement windows makes Vanguard Windows the preferred choice for homeowners that love high-quality, worry-free products on their homes.

Why Vanguard Windows REALLY Are Better

Fully Insulated Frames

Vanguard injects all of the chambers in their mainframes (a true 100% fill) and one chamber in their sash frames with UltraCore, a proprietary, closed-cell Polyurethane Foam that gives the Vanguard window frame an industry leading 7.14 R-Value. When you insulate the frame, you increase the overall ability of a window to halt energy transfer and ultimately keep the interior pane of glass warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.

Fiberglass Reinforced Sash Frames

Vanguard is the only vinyl frame window on the market that inserts a fiberglass reinforcement bar into the frames of the operational sashes to increase strength and rigidity. The FiberCore fiberglass reinforcement rod infuses the best aspect of the fiberglass and composite framed windows (strength and rigidity) into the vinyl frame to give Vanguard a “best of both worlds” approach. Our vinyl frames can still be fusion welded (melted together at the corners), can still be totally maintenance free, can still be 100% foam insulation injected, and can still be much more affordable than the fiberglass and composite frame competitors, and yet have the strength no other vinyl window offers.

S2210x Glass w/NO Argon & Glass Guard Spacer

Advancements in glass coating technology have allowed glass manufacturers to continually increase the number of layers of Low-E coating they apply to interior surfaces of residential window glass, thus increasing the overall effectiveness and energy efficiency of the Insulated Glass Units (IGUs) they produce. Vanguard has taken technology to the limit by introducing S2210x glass as a standard feature in all their windows. S2210x (also referred to as Latitude Glass with Summit Technology) is a 12-layer glass coating system (3 layers of which are Silver, also know as 366) on surface 2 of a dual pane IGU, and then incorporates a new coating technology called i89 (Indium Oxide) on surface 4 (the inside of the inside pane, the surface you can touch from inside the house). Indium Oxide i89 does a better job keeping the furnace heat inside the house during the winter/heating months than Argon ever did, and it never dissipates (or is lost/compromised) like Argon always does. (Please refer to our BLOG POST* about Argon gas dissipation and the replacement windows industry moving away from Argon gas as a whole.) S2210x also incorporates the industry’s highest performing spacer, the Glass Guard stainless steel continuous spacer system (no breaks, cuts or notched corners in the entire spacer circumference, and a dual sealing surface that virtually eliminates seal failure for the life of the product). This amazing Low-E coatings and IGU system allows for maximum UV protection (blocks 90-95% of UV rays), maximum energy transfer protection (S2210x has a 1% energy transfer rating and blocks approx 90% of the sun’s heat from entering the house) and maximum strength and durability, while still allowing maximum ambient sunlight into your rooms.

Incredibly Low Air Infiltration Rates

Most window manufacturers (and salespeople) don’t talk about Air Infiltration Ratings (AIR) in regards to trying to get you to buy their windows. Why? Because most replacement window products on the market today don’t have very good Air Infiltration Ratings. Vanguard Windows have the best AIR (also referred to as air leakage rating) of any window by any manufacturer at any price, period.

The maximum allowable AIR suitable for residential installation (and to get an NFRC ratings sticker) is 0.3. The only three ratings the NFRC gives are 0.3, .02, or 0.1. Any window with AIR BELOW 0.1 still gets that blanket number assigned to its certification sticker. That’s OK for most windows, since they fall at or above a 0.1 anyway. But for Vanguard, it is unfortunate that the number on the ratings sticker doesn’t accurately reflect the true rating and it doesn’t tell the whole story.

Vanguard Windows have a 0.02 Air Infiltration Rating (AIR). That’s right – far closer to a 0.0 than a 0.1. Since Vanguard Windows have better weatherstripping than most other windows, and have NO sash slop (the movement back and forth in a closed and locked double operational window), the result is the best AIR on the planet. What good will it do you to have great U-Factor and SHGC numbers, but still have cold air drafts blowing right into your home through a poor performing AIR window product? Homeowners looking to replace their windows should consider AIR as a spec that is as important as U-Factor and/or SHGC in the overall efficiency of any given window brand they are considering.

It makes a big difference, and yet the vast majority of all windows salespeople and companies blow right past it and ignore this massively important consideration!

Opti-View “Invisible” Screens

Screens on windows are just part of life. We all have widows and all operational windows have screens. We want to open our windows and look out our windows, but if we could we would all probably ditch the screens so we didn’t have to look through them and so we could get the most airflow possible. But the bugs… those nasty little bugs. So we put up with heavy screens (which, before now are all that have been available) so the bugs stay outside when we open our windows. NOT ANYMORE!

The OptiView Screen from Vanguard is a breakthrough in window & patio door screen technology. OptiView screen mesh is significantly less dense (much more fine) than traditional fiberglass screen mesh. Consequently, the OptiView Screen from Vanguard is up to 50% easier to look through (it virtually disappears) and it lets roughly 40% more air flow through the screen, optimizing ventilation. This revolutionary screen gives you what you really need in a window or patio door screen – bug coverage; yet it minimizes what you don’t like about your screens – having to look through them and having airflow restricted by them. The OptiView Screen from Vanguard Windows is the closest you can come to not having a screen on an operational window at all!

Low Profile, Beveled “Wood Look” Interior & Exterior Frame Design

Many homeowners realize the benefits of vinyl as the frame material of choice for their new windows (fusion welded corners, high efficiency, maintenance freedom, lifetime warranties, etc.), but some of them just don’t like the look of “typical” vinyl windows. If this describes you, Vanguard couldn’t agree with you more. The aesthetic appearance of the Vanguard frames (both main frames and sash frames) are unlike anything else in the vinyl window industry, and they bring a design concept to the table that no other window manufacturer offers. Vanguard is quite simply the best looking window on the market. The main frame is narrow and has a 45 degree chamber on the inside edge of the interior that gives the frame a designer look and feel. On the exterior, the main frame has a double contour that really sets it apart from the crowd. The sash frames are also very narrow (low profile) and have a beveled edge that looks like a routered wood window sash. The Vanguard window was designed to emulate a painted wood window look, with more “flair” and “designer aesthetic” than a traditional vinyl window that consists of squared off 90º corners and very basic lines. By the way, even though the Vanguard frame lineals are low profile, they are still super energy efficient (due to 100% fill foam insulation) and super strong (due to the fiberglass reinforcement bar) – the best of all worlds. Looks aren’t everything, and Vanguard knows that if you have a great looking window that is just an average performer, you still won’t lead the pack. But to combine the best looks in the biz with the highest performance is what makes a Vanguard window a Vanguard window.

*Excerpt From Our BLOG Post On Argon Gas…

ARGON IS DEAD… At Least After A Few Years. S2210x To The Rescue. 20 or so years ago, some science-y type guy figured out how to put an inert gas, called ARGON, in between 2 panes of glass for a residential replacement window and it changed the window industry as we knew it. Argon gas between 2 panes of glass greatly slows the movement of air inside the air space, and it considerably slows the transfer of energy through the dual pane unit. But there are several problems with Argon:

  • You can’t see it… you’re taking the manufacturer’s word it’s in there
  • You never know if you have a 99% fill, or if it is less than full
  • You cannot have a capillary/breather tube with Argon fill
  • You cannot take an Argon filled unit over 7,500 ft of elevation, period
  • And most importantly, ARGON DISSIPATES OVER TIME (in every product/brand regardless of mfg location, cost, frame material, etc)

If Argon gas dissipates over time (and all experts agree that it does), then what does that mean for the homeowner that buys high-efficiency replacement windows that have Argon inside and have U-Factor numbers that are based partly on the Argon fill? Exactly, it means that 10, 12, 15 years from now, after the Argon is ALL GONE, that window that had a .28 U-Factor in 2015 when it was installed now has a .30, .31, .32, etc. in 2030. That’s a bad deal.

Unfortunately, almost all replacement windows manufacturers are stuck in the past, still using 20-year old Argon technology to achieve industry leading U-Factor numbers, knowing that it dissipates and will leave every single homeowner that buys a window with Argon in a situation to have a LESS EFFICIENT window 10-15 years from now. So what’s the answer? How do we get the same or better efficiency and U-Factors while getting rid of the problematic issue of Argon? Is there a way to provide a window product that will have the SAME efficiency and U-Factor 30 years from now, which is certainly what most folks expect when they spend big bucks on new windows?

The answer is YES, and it is achieved through a revolutionary new glass coating called i89 that augments the existing Low-E coatings that all good windows have. It is the material and the placement of this new coating that is the magic. The coating is comprised of Indium Oxide (the same kind of coating your iPhone or Android smartphone have on the screen) and the placement is on the inside surface of the inside pane of glass (surface 4). This is a cutting-edge technology that has been invented and implemented by a joint effort of Vanguard and their IGU (Insulated Glass Unit) manufacturer, Cardinal Glass. Add 1 layer of Indium Oxide i89 coating to the inside surface of the inside pane of glass, omit the Argon fill entirely, and keep the other 12 layers of soft-coat Low-E (366) on the inside of the glass unit where they already are, and you now have a .26 U-Factor (instead of a .28 for the same unit with Argon instead of i89) that will be a .26 FOREVER. This is what the awesome new S2210x glass package from Vanguard is all about. Highest efficiency, no dissipation… it’s about time.

They went the extra mile

“We had some weird shaped windows - trapezoid and just old in general. They came did a great demonstration and explanation on window. They were straight forward. The timing they said, was what was met. When there was an issue (because we had super old windows) they addressed it right away and let us know it would take extra time. They went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied with service. Overall, fantastic customer service and top quality. It was fairly priced too, we had about 5 different quotes from around the area. #customerserviceonpoint #windowsanddoors #beautifuljob”

Bridgette A

overall was a great value

“I had Prestige replace 7 windows in my 113 year old bungalow in Northwest Denver, and I'm glad I went with them. The price wasn't the lowest quote I got, but it was still significantly cheaper than some of the big names in the window business, and overall was a great value. Dustin is a great, no-pressure sales guy, James is a fantastic installer (even providing some alternative trim options to maintain the historic look of my house), and Bobby is a great field support guy. There were some minor issues with one of the windows, and they did a great job resolving it. I will absolutely use them again in the future.”
